Class #2 Info

Detailed instructions from the exercise for Class 2 can be found on the Handout page.

For next class, please bring a Raw image if your camera is able to capture in Raw. Bring in one specific image that you would like to work with. We will be doing color correction, exposure correction, and overall image enhancements. We will be working with Camera Raw workflow.

To illustrate the power of white balance correction in Raw, bring in an image that has a neutral gray (or gray card) as we discussed in class. If you have a series of 5 shots (1 with and the rest without) the gray card you will see how the Raw correction can be applied in Bridge to correct all of the images at once.

Class #3 Info

I'll be posting things periodically on this page & on the handout page during the week about different editing examples that we'll be able to use next week on the photos you bring in to edit. Check back frequently (you never know when I'll get them posted - LOL!). I'll try to cover an example of photo restoration, an in depth portrait retouch, popping the colors in a macro image, making an intense selection around hair, and enhancing a landscape image. If you see something you really want to try in class on your project, print the example and bring it in to help you as we work together next week.

Your homework is to play with the things we've gone over in class, decide on & bring in the photos you want to edit next week, and to try out some of the tips I post on photos of your own before class. (I'll try to have them up before Monday night :)

I will also get the sunglass exercise posted & would love to see your smiling shaded faces pop up on our home page as a post.
